Reports to: Production Lead
Location: Darlington
Salary: £25,875.02 - £26,648.62, DOE, plus shift allowance
We are looking for a motivated Production Operative to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will operate machinery, assemble components, check product quality, and support packing and production processes while maintaining a safe and organised workspace. This is a great role to come in and get full training in a supportive environment, with progression opportunities available.

What you’ll be doing:
Operate and monitor production machinery according to established procedures and safety guidelines
Assemble components or parts according to specific instructions or blueprints
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
Handle raw materials, components, and finished products safely and efficiently
Package finished products appropriately for storage or shipment
Clean and maintain work areas, machinery, and equipment to ensure a safe and organised workspace
Complete production logs, reports, and other documentation as required
Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet production targets and deadlines
Follow all standard operating procedures, ensuring company and health and safety policy is adhered too
Identify and report any issues or abnormalities in the production process, assisting in troubleshooting and resolving problems where needed
Who we’re looking for:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided
Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently meet quality standards
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and demonstrates a strong work ethic and commitment to performance
Proactive approach to health and safety, with a commitment to following procedures and maintaining a safe working environment
